Splitting on Demand in SAT Modulo Theories
Lazy algorithms for Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) combine a generic DPLL-based SAT engine with a theory solver for the given theory T that can decide the T -consistency of conjunctions of ground literals. For many theories of interest, theory solvers need to reason by performing internal case splits. Here we argue that it is more convenient to delegate these case splits to the DPLL engin...
متن کاملDifferentiability of Torsion Theories
We prove that every perfect torsion theory for a ring R is differential (in the sense of [2]). In this case, we construct the extension of a derivation of a right R-module M to a derivation of the module of quotients of M . Then, we prove that the Lambek and Goldie torsion theories for any R are differential.
متن کاملFrom torsion theories to closure operators and factorization systems
Torsion theories are here extended to categories equipped with an ideal of 'null morphisms', or equivalently a full subcategory of 'null objects'. Instances of this extension include closure operators viewed as generalised torsion theories in a 'category of pairs', and factorization systems viewed as torsion theories in a category of morphisms. The first point has essentially been treated in [15].
متن کاملFinite and Torsion Kk-theories
We develop a finite KK-theory of C∗-algebras following ArlettazH.Inassaridze’s approach to finite algebraic K-theory [1] . The BrowderKaroubi-Lambre’s theorem on the orders of the elements for finite algebraic K-theory [ , ] is extended to finite KK-theory. A new bivariant theory, called torsion KK-theory is defined as the direct limit of finite KK-theories. Such bivariant K-theory has almost a...
متن کاملOn the Splitting of the Dual Goldie Torsion Theory
The splitting of the Goldie (or singular) torsion theory has been extensively studied. Here we determine an appropriate dual Goldie torsion theory, discuss its splitting and answer in the negative a question proposed by Özcan and Harmancı as to whether the splitting of the dual Goldie torsion theory implies the ring to be quasi-Frobenius.
